CIRCULAR CONVERSATIONS

Circular Conversations | Earth Day 2026

CELEBRATING INITIATIVES IN THE AIRROBE COMMUNITY

This Earth Day is a reminder that the most meaningful shift in fashion is not how much we consume, but how long we keep what already exists in motion.

Across the industry, design is increasingly shaped by intention: remnant and deadstock materials, natural fibres, recycled and non-animal inputs, and considered production methods that prioritise longevity over excess. These are not seasonal gestures, but ongoing practices embedded in how clothing is made.

Through AirRobe, garments are supported to live multiple lives through resale, rental and recirculation, extending their use beyond a single wardrobe.

Circular fashion is not a future idea. It is already unfolding, one piece at a time.

Read how a few of our brand partners are taking initiative in the industry. Featuring: Bianca Spender, Nomad The Label, búl, SACHA DRAKE & Sans Beast.

Bianca Spender

Bianca Spender designs and produces primarily in Australia with long-standing maker relationships. More than half of each collection uses remnant fabrics, reducing reliance on new textile production. The brand has been Climate Active certified carbon neutral since 2019, measuring and offsetting emissions across operations. Partnerships with The Social Outfit, Thread Together, Australian Wildlife Conservancy and Ripple Offsets extend its work across community and environment. AirRobe supports ongoing garment circulation through resale, rental and recirculation.

búl

búl is guided by seasonless design, natural fibres and limited production across two collections per year. Materials include cotton, linen, silk, tencel and wool variations including alpaca, merino and cashmere, alongside considered use of deadstock textiles. Production is carried out through long-standing relationships with makers in China and Indonesia across knitwear, mainline, footwear and accessories. Orders are packed using minimal printed materials and carbon-neutral mailers made from recycled materials and ocean bound plastic.

Nomad The Label

Nomad The Label works with natural fabrics as a constant practice, focusing on durable garments and considered production. Fabric certifications such as GOTS and FSC are used where provided, alongside mono-material compositions to support recyclability and Oeko-Tex 100 substance testing. Offcuts are repurposed into Earth Day scrunchies gifted with purchase. The supply chain spans multiple tiers from design to raw material production, with an emphasis on traceability and improving certification processes over time.

SACHA DRAKE

SACHA DRAKE designs with longevity in mind, creating pieces intended to move across multiple occasions and be worn for milestone moments. The brand focuses on considered fabrication and timeless silhouettes that support repeated wear over time. Through AirRobe, garments are supported beyond initial wear through resale, rental and recirculation, extending their life beyond a single occasion.

Sans Beast

Sans Beast creates non-animal accessories using recycled and bio-based materials in place of leather. The majority of materials used are recycled, with an ongoing focus on reducing reliance on virgin inputs. Production reflects considered sourcing and fabrication processes. Packaging uses recycled paper, FSC-certified materials and compostable elements. Through AirRobe, customers are supported to resell, rent or recirculate pieces, extending product life beyond initial use.
